Pride in Our Community 2026

We’re really excited to announce Pride in Our Community 2026! This year we are working in partnership with Disabled Queer Edinburgh and Exhale.Group, to create a pride that is accessible and inclusive for ALL. This is a space for us to strengthen community, share in our collective joy and anger – and demand better. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️💓

Join us on the 16th May, 11am-4pm on Leith Links in Leith, Edinburgh. This is a space for us to strengthen community, share in our collective joy and anger – and demand better. Pride in our Community is for ALL.

We will host a range of speakers from across our diverse community and will engage with intersectional issues. There will be a pride picnic, in partnership with Disabled Queer Edinburgh, as well as fun games and activities with both Exhale.Group and DQE! There will be community information stalls, some local community organisations facilitating activities, and a craft space.

Disabled Queer Edinburgh – Lawn Games & Pride Picnic

DQE is excited to bring back our annual pride picnic to the event, complete with lawn games area!

Bring a blanket, camping chair or cushion, whatever you need to feel comfortable, pack up your lunch, and join us!

We will have our share box over at the DQE table, so people can add sharing food to this, or take whatever they need. Nobody goes hungry at pride! These can be fruit, shop bought snacks, or homemade treats. If you bring anything for the share box, please make sure it has any ingredients/allergens labelled.

We will also be bringing our pride picnic art board again this year. This will be at the DQE table, with a bag of sharpies. Attendees can sign it, or leave us a doodle.

We will be bringing a selection of lawn games and someone will be on hand to teach you a game, or play with you if you need a game buddy.

You are encouraged to bring your own games to add to the games corner. This can be anything from a beach ball to play keep-up, ribbons to dance with, or even a board game. Please label your game and remember to take it home with you! For bigger games like football or things with bats we encourage you to go over to the next grass section over to keep everyone safe.
